Getting Help
Talking Change is a provided through Solent NHS trust and commissioned by Portsmouth for the people of Portsmouth. The service is open to anyone over 18, registered with a Portsmouth GP, who isn't already accessing Adult Mental Health services. We have different locations and opening hours across the city and all our venues are wheelchair accessible.
Further details of our service are available on our Talking Change Leaflet (PDF - 384kb)
There are a number of ways of being referred to Talking Change. If you feel you could be suffering from anxiety or depression, you may wish to speak to your GP or a health professional for some more information, and to discuss your choices for treatment. They may be able to help you complete a referral form and send us any other relevant information.
We also accept self-referrals. These packs are available to be picked up from your GP surgery or local health centre, or can be downloaded and completed at home. Fill out the forms answering the questions as best you can, and then send them back to us at the address at the bottom of the page.
Once we have received your information, we will contact your GP to keep him/her informed and request any information that would be helpful to us. You will then hear from our First Steps team to discuss the way forward.
We welcome referrals from all sections of the community. Interpreters and signers are available if required.
